With the bank holiday coming up, we know there's nothing worse than a long road trip without snacks!
So Szabina's made the ultimate in road trip snacking with her Vegan Sour Cream and Onion Protein Snacks and Pizza Protein Balls with Nutristrength Pea Protein to keep those hunger pangs away.
We'll leave the eye-spy to you...
Vegan Sour Cream & Onion Protein Snacks Ingredients
70g Cashews
1 scoop Pea Protein Unflavoured
1 tbsp coconut oil
1/2 can cannellini beans, drained and rinsed
25g coconut flour
10g hemp seeds
2 tsp Garlic Powder
1tsp mustard powder
1tsp salt
2tbsp nutritional yeast
50ml water
1tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
1tsp apple cider vinegar
Tips: Roll the ball in the hemp seeds to coat. Or fry the balls in a tablespoon of coconut oil for 1 minute until golden brown. Serve with vegan yoghurt/cream cheese. It’s a perfect party snack!
Pizza Protein Balls Ingredients
80g Almonds
1 scoop Whey Protein Unflavoured
1/2 tbsp coconut oil
1/2 can cannellini Beans, drained and rinsed
35g coconut flour
15g ground flaxseed
1 tbsp ground onion
50g Tomato Paste
1 tbsp Nutritional Yeast
40ml water
1tsp oregano
1tsp basil
1 tsp salt
Methods
1. Place nuts into the food processor and grind for 30-45 seconds.
2. Add all ingredients in a food processor and pulse until well-incorporated.
3. Roll the mix into bite-size balls. Each recipe will create between 10 and 12 balls.
4. Store your Protein Bliss Balls in an airtight container in the fridge.
